It's been a while now since I've written my blog, mainly because I've had nothing to do as I'm still waiting for my front springs and front struts to come back from being refurbished. I put the struts into Gaz at Basildon on August 17th and paid for the new front springs to be made on September 1st. Ridiculous lead times to say the least!
Anyway, I dragged the Green Cortina out of hibernation and we had a pleasant drive down to the cosy cup cafe near Billericay.
There were a good few people there when we arrived and some nice cars as usual as well. My good friend Gavin was there in his Mk2 Triumph and Keith was also in his Mk1 Lotus Cortina which looked as good as it always does.
It was a nice morning out and the weather was incredibly mild for the time of year. After plenty of chatting with friends we said our goodbyes and set off home at nearly lunch time. It's good to know that this meet will continue through the closed season as it's on hard standing ground, so it wont be affected by any bad weather.
